The 10 Commandments of Healthy Skin

As the sun, summer heat, and SPF come raging a war on your pores here are my 10 Commandments to ensure a bright and beautiful complexion all year long!

Thou shalt..

  1. Always wear SPF-and remember to reapply and limit direct sunlight!
  2. Check cosmetic ingredients-watch out for skin aggressors
  3. Hydrate-moisturize skin and drink water (it is important to stay cool)
  4. Exfoliate regularly (without harsh rubbing)
  5. Get regular sleep, approx. 6-8 hours nightly
  6. Cleanse skin morning and night
  7. NEVER Sleep in makeup. Ever.
  8. Change pillow cases – and ensure they’re cotton
  9. Use Retinoids & other anti-aging ingredients (better to begin preventative treatment)

Last but not least….

10. Eat plenty of vegetables & exercise daily**

This is redundant but so important. Eating vegetables improves skin clarity because it provides vitamins and anti-oxidants to boost skin resiliency. Exercise reduces stress and also pushes out toxins through sweat. Increasing your heart rate pumps blood through the body quicker to provide cells with nutrients.  Just make sure to clean your skin after every workout!

I hope you enjoyed my 10 Commandments to healthy skin, and if you did remember to like and follow my blog! Comment below what you want to try to do to improve your skin’s health!

Can you suggest anything for men’s better and healthier skin?

Yes I can 🙂 to start I would use the dermalogica daily microfoliant (to exfoliate). Then for a cleanser I would use Cetaphil bc it gets rid of dirt and oil easily. Lastly make sure to moisturizer and my brother really likes Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel. It’s very lightweight and makes the skin very soft. Remember to always wear an SPF! I hope this helps! Do you have any skin specific issues?

No, but I wear a beard.
And many thanks! You’re awesome. I’ll try these products.

I should clarify that I’m not a doctor but I do have a lot of experience with skincare because of trial and error
